Following are the fervent, appeals, prayers and pleadings contained in Sri Guru Granth Sahib (SGGS) made to Almighty By The Great Gurus Of the Sikh Religion to bring Peace of mind in the entire humankind.

1. Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the first Guru pleads before God:
Teren jiyen jiy ka tohey,
Kit koh Sahib aweyen rohey.
Jea tuon Sahib aweyen rohey,
Tuon unaan ka tere oheye.

All creations are yours, ‘O’ Lord!
And you are the only master of all. Why are they visited, then, with your wrath ?In spite of your having wrath on them, they are still yours, and you are theirs, ‘O’ Lord!

2. Guru Amar Das Ji, the third Guru appeals to God; regarding the sufferings of the humanity in the worldly affairs; :

Jagat Jalandha rakh leya aapni kirpa dhar, jit duarah urbrae tita leho ubar

The world is in flames! Save it. ‘O’ God , out of your mercy ; save it through whichever dispensations it can be saved. ‘O’ Lord!

3.Guru Ram Das Ji, the fourth Guru, prays to God;
Kirpa kar ke sunoh prabh
Sabh jag maen varse mehuon

Listen to our prayers. ‘O’ God! And let your grace rain over the whole world.

4. Guru Arjan Dev Ji , the fifth Guru Supplicated to God;
Sabhe Jiy sambhal apni mehar kar, ann pani much upaye dukh dalad bhan tar.

“Be merciful, ‘O’ God! and keep all beings in your care. Let grain and water be in plenty. Shatter their sufferings and penury and ferry them across the ocean of existence “
But universal appeals embody such a marvelous altruistic spirit, cosmopolitan outlook, liberal essence, tolerant attitude , seeking boons and blessings for the peace. Prosperity and welfare for every human being, irrespective of his or her belief and faith, caste, creed, colour or country.
