Late Asifa was not a lovely and lone daughter of a nomad family, but was also a daughter of a secular and democratic India where century-old bonds of brotherhood and humanitarian considerations still exist. The barbaric incident of Asifa (an eight year old child) has been broadly condemned at the national and international level.
The humanity shivers while knowing about this rarest of the rare incidents of inhuman nature with an innocent child who has nothing to do with the ill wills between the neighbors of the two different communities. Whatever has happened with her at the hands of butchers of humanity needs to be dealt severely.
The rapists and murderers of the innocent child deserve exemplary punishment to be awarded by the law enforcing agencies, seers, and peers of all religions and social organizations. The graphic trend of the inhuman crimes with minors and innocent children are on the increase day by day and such crimes need to be curbed with high handedness.
India is a country of Sufis, Saints and great Gurus like Guru Nanak who have advocated the universal brotherhood where such acts of genocide against humanity especially with the small children have been rated for zero tolerance. The ruthless killing of Asifa, a daughter of a poor and one of the weakest communities (nomads – basically a Bakerwal family) of the society who are still without a permanent place of their settlement and source of survival.
The act of barbarism in the merciless killing of the eight year child (Asifa) has also rocked the UN. The United Nations Chief Antonto Guterres has expressed his hope that the authorities will bring the perpetrators of the ruthless and brutal crime to justice.
May Almighty keep the departed soul of late Asifa in peace in heaven and give courage and strength to her parents to bear this irreparable loss.
